I was in 10th grade when I was awarded "photo of the week" for my photography class. It was a self portrait, basically a selfie, taken on my Nikon point and shoot. I thought to myself, "why do I need a big, fancy DSLR when I can take a photo like this on my point and shoot." Despite the incredible capabilities of a point and shoot, I quickly learned the advantages of using a larger camera.
My interest in photography was sparked by my father's interest in photography. He has been a great influence and motivator to my pursuance in this field. One of my greatest joys is that I get to share my art with everyone by combining my passions for the outdoors and photography. I love telling a story of my adventures and explorations through my photos.
